  • Some restaurants serve food. Others serve a story. Pastafina is the latter—a tale of a family’s journey from the Bronx to the heart of Texas, built on a foundation of authentic Italian cooking, warm hospitality, and a simple belief that gathering around a table is what makes life special.  This is the story of how one family’s dream became a beloved institution for several Texan communities.

Building a Reputation, One Meal at a Time

A few years after the move,Mike became the proud owner of Pastafina.  The family’s commitment to authentic, homemade cuisine quickly resonated with the local community. The restaurant specializes in both northern and southern Italian cuisine, taking great pride in using quality ingredients to create dishes from the heart.  Their menu boasts a fine selection of classic Italian favorites, including steaks, seafood, and hand-tossed pizzas.

Word of Pastafina’s warm atmosphere and delicious food spread rapidly, from Mineral Wells all the way to Dallas.  Diners began to praise the “fantastic Italian food,” “excellent service,” and “great food at a reasonable price.”  The restaurant quickly became a local favorite, renowned for its generous portions, signature homemade sauces, and those famously fresh, hot rolls that guests rave about.

As a sign of appreciation, Mike who owned the Pastafina trade mark gave rights to two albanian brothere who worked for him to start ther own in Texas.

A Family Affair: The Heart of Pastafina

Pastafina is more than a restaurant; it is a true family enterprise. Jeff’s son, Al, who works at the restaurant alongside his brothers and other family members, shares that their motivation is simple: “seeing families come together to enjoy a meal, to make conversation, and to simply enjoy life.”

This philosophy extends from the family to the staff and to every guest who walks through the door. “Family is the most important thing to my parents,” Al explains. “They were always at our award ceremonies, graduations, sports events…they never missed it. They were the surrogate parents of our neighborhood, and now, our staff.”

When you walk into Pastafina, you are greeted not as a customer, but as a guest.  You may arrive a stranger, but the warm service, generous portions, and the welcoming atmosphere ensure you leave feeling like part of the family. This reputation for hospitality is clear in customer reviews, with one regular stating they have “eaten there for years,” while another called Pastafina the “best Italian restaurant in town.”

    A Growing Legacy

Pastafina’s success is a testament to its authentic food and family values. The restaurant has grown into a well-established brand, operating multiple locations across the state, including in Granbury, Cleburne, Weatherford, and Mineral Wells, Texas.

While the company remains a family-owned and operated Italian restaurant, its reputation has solidified its place in the community. Pastafina’s commitment to quality is perhaps best reflected in the words of a guest who shared their experience: “Our motivation, the one that makes my family the happiest, is seeing families come together to enjoy a meal, to make conversation, and to simply enjoy life.”

That is the true story of Pastafina—not just a place to eat, but a place where family, food, and community come together to create something truly special.

On the year 2020 Mike retired the food business and is now using the long lived pastafina.com domain for selling nutrition and health items and supplements
